Introduction

Somewhere in spring 2002 I decided to create a honeypot with my left-over hardware and IP-addresses.

The reasons to do so were both education and recreation. By building a honeypot one can learn a lot about crackers, their technological skills, their backgrounds, their tools, etc. Besides that, it's fun! Building a honeypot is nice. It makes you think about ways to log undetectedly, about protecting your network from crackers. It takes effort to do things right, but if done right it's rewarding.

I've built this site as a way to inform others about my little project: the setup I used to get things done, the hacks I've seen and the files I analysed. I hope you'll like and have use for the info presented here. If you have any questions or remarks, you can react in the "react"-section.
